I am a professional full-time REALTOR® that specializes in helping buyers and sellers with their real estate needs.
I was originally licensed in Virginia in 1999 and started on the top real estate team in the area as a buyer’s agent. I received my ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) and GRI (Graduate of REALTOR® Institute) designations while working with the team. While serving as a buyer’s representative I helped over a hundred clients with the purchase of their home.
After having my youngest son in 2001, I moved to the listing assistant position for the team leader. This change in focus helped me learn a different aspect of the business, as I worked exclusively with the sellers. I remained licensed in VA, helping buyers and sellers until I moved to Pennsylvania in 2005. In PA I continued to practice real estate until 2007, focusing on clients relocating to the area. Having relocated myself, I was able to understand their concerns of settling in a new area and stayed abreast of the changes in the market and localities.
We moved to Texas in 2007 and after a brief second career as a B&B owner/innkeeper, I obtained my Texas real estate license in 2011. I have been actively working with buyers and sellers since, including working with local investors on foreclosure and short sale properties. I feel that starting over in several areas has helped me to better work with those relocating themselves. I understand the fears and concerns of a move and do my best to give my clients the knowledge and tools to make the best decision for their family.
I am a wife and a mother to two sons, ages 16 and 18. My sons grew up playing ice hockey and are both pursuing their hockey dreams, one in Quebec and one in Connecticut. While this makes for a quiet home, I am happy to support them in their journeys.
I grew up in Virginia, but have also lived in Quebec, North Carolina, South Carolina and Pennsylvania. Now that I have made it to Texas, I can’t imagine living anywhere else. I feel like it has been an advantage living in various places, I am able to appreciate the differences in areas of the country and their local cultures.
My hobbies include cooking, fishing, and doing home improvement projects. If I’m not out showing property or helping clients, you will likely find me at our beach house, fishing rod in hand enjoying the outdoors.
I genuinely enjoy helping people in all capacities and I strive to understand their unique needs. I try to make myself as available as possible to clients, answering calls and emails promptly, as I know how many questions are involved during the home buying and selling process. I don’t feel like I am going above and beyond my duties, but rather doing what I should, as it is a privilege to help someone with such a large and important decision. Thank you for the opportunity to earn your trust and your business.
